Dr. Mitchell delivered the news during their morning session, his expression cautiously optimistic as he reviewed Marcus's chart and the notes from the nursing staff who'd been monitoring his sleep patterns, appetite, and general comportment.
"Your symptoms have responded well to the medication," Dr. Mitchell said, pen tapping against his clipboard in a rhythm that Marcus found oddly hypnotic. "The auditory hallucinations have diminished significantly, and you report that your perception has normalized. How do you feel about transitioning back to outpatient care?"
