Rohith stood in the cramped office of the Vastrapur police station, watching Inspector Thakkar shuffle through papers with maddening slowness. The air conditioning unit wheezed asthmatically, doing little to combat the afternoon heat or the growing anxiety that coiled in Rohith's stomach like a living thing.
